There are many methods to make money online used all over the web, but I would sort them in four separate paths as their business models are different :

1. sell your hard stuff online (by “hard” I mean anything except non-digital products) using an e-commerce site.
2. act as a commissioner (affiliate) selling others’ people stuff (I mean anything) online based on reviews you make on a site or blog. Your recommendations are followed by people, i.e. visitors of your blog or your site, because you have a good reputation and people trust you.
3. browsing (view ads and click on them, read other stuff and get paid, etc)
4. sell your digital product (e-book) online using an e-commerce site
